Come and join us
Membership is completely FREE and you are welcome!
Enrolled members must be 18 or over.
We meet on Sundays 10am to 3pm - or 10am to 1pm (depending on your availability)
Work at your own pace and enjoy our lovely forest surroundings, remember conservation is not all hard work and you do not need any special skills or experience.
Each task is headed by a task leader who will explain the day's task and give a safety talk, including instruction on how to safely use the hand tools provided.
Do wear suitable working clothes, long trousers, waterproofs and wellies when appropriate. Bring something waterproof to sit on (a bin bag will do) plus food and drink. This conservation group does include civilised breaks for coffee, lunch and a chat.
If you intend to join us for the first time be sure to contact the designated Task Leader a few days before the task date. Be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early on the day, introduce yourself to the Task Leader and to fill in the membership form.
Check the Task Schedule for the map reference where the group will meet. If you are unsure of the location contact the task leader for that day.
The NFACV upcoming task schedule is posted here on this website.
Remember conservation is not all hard work and you do not need any special skills or experience - just a willingness to help, some old clothes, wellies or boots, something to sit on, a big smile and a packed lunch.
Please note - we do not cater for Duke of Edinburgh Award participants.
